KITCHEN WITH CLASS
Neoclassical is another design term for shabby - chic design, the mid-century design looks and also a more classic design. Even though some of the elements of Neoclassical design are very much used in different homes today, you can still easily mix and match it with a modern look. In this article, we will take a walk at the memory lane to see how this art deco interior is still very much in demand. The neoclassic started from the 70s as a reaction against baroque designs. It is mainly inspired by the Roman and Renaissance architecture which is heavy on details like lines, geometric patterns, ornaments, and the likes. The idea of a neoclassical interior is to have a very grand and romantic space without making it look too over decorated. There is a great balance or rich colors and fabrics, with muted details and accents.
- Chandelier: A chandelier is a neoclassical staple element which complements perfectly with the kitchen design. The kitchen is one of the best places to add a chandelier because it distributes light evenly. It is also important to add task lighting to make sure that cooking is a breezy task in this kitchen.
- Kitchen Island: A kitchen island is more of extra space for kitchen activities such as preparing for meals, mixing for baking, and chopping for cooking. It is a great idea to add an island which can also be an added storage space if you wish to place cabinets below the entire counter. In this case, we used marble as the island countertop which matches to the entire kitchen countertop.
- Marble: Marble is a great kitchen material because it is sturdy and it can stand heat very well. It can also be easily cleaned up and easy to maintain. It truly is one of the most elegant yet still easy to manage materials for a kitchen.
- Cabinetry: This cabinetry is customized with elegant carvings that are patterned with damask. It adds dimensions and depth to the kitchen which makes it look more unique and customized.
- Ceiling: Kitchen ceilings are sometimes neglected, but here we manage to add a nice floral detailing to keep the neoclassic theme and to make it look more elegant.
