WHAT IS A TURKISH BATH?

The Hammams most distinguishing quality is its pleasant temperature. The Turkish steam room has a moderate temperature (up to +55 °C) and a high humidity level. In a hammam, steam generators are used to regulate humidity by producing little dispersive steam, which is generally sprinkled with natural oils and is good to breathe. The suggested temperature in the Turkish bath ranges from 30 to 55 degrees, making it perfect for persons who are not used to being exposed to high temperatures. Warming benches, walls, floors, and other relevant elements is possible thanks to equipment placed in the adjacent technical room, which allows for independent temperature control of each heated surface.

One of the most crucial aspects of good hammam operation is the circulation of heat in the sweating area. The hammams heat circulation must be balanced, which is accomplished by mechanical, natural, and mixed air circulation. In addition, vaulted ceilings in boors are required for proper air circulation and condensate run-off.
